Frequently Asked Questions

Is there anything that I need to buy to complete this program?

The only thing you will need to buy is 10 Buckets to store your flowers and foliage

What time does the course start each day?

Because of how the program is structured there is no specific start time each day.  You can watch the tutorials when ever suits you, any videos uploaded into the Bloom Room are there forever for you to watch and rewatch when suits you.

What is the Bloom Room?

The Bloom Room is a private Facebook group where only you and the participants on your program have access.  It is here that your tutor will go on live to chat to you and answer any questions, it is here where you will post photos of your designs for your tutor to critique, it is here where you will meet lots of new people who share the same interest as you.

Do I need to be on Facebook to join in the Bloom Room?

Yes you do need to have a Facebook account to join in the bloom room

How long do I have access to the pre-recorded program tutorials

Once your Bloom Room is closed you still have access to all your pre-recorded tutorials for another 60 days

Will I Have Much Homework?

The weekend your fresh flowers and foliage arrives will be a busy weekend.  You will have 5 designs to make for your certificate.  As flowers are fresh and have a life span, we advise you to get these designs done within a week of the flowers arriving.

Will I have to get Work Experience/ Placement?

Due to COVID-19, it may not be possible for participants to access work placements. However, if available, it is the best approach in order to access employment by demonstrating the ability to work in a floristry business. If work placements are not available, then the Trainee would have to put together a portfolio of additional work that they have carried out in lieu of work placements. (Normal work placements are 5-days, hence, portfolio will need to be equivalent to 5 days work).  We will give full details of this in your bloom room.

Will I get a Certificate?

Yes on submission of all your course work you will be awarded a Foundation Certificate in Retail Floristry

I'm not sure if I like doing online courses, I find it hard to stay motivated.

This is a very common question asked of all our Online Participants.  Have a look at this page of testimonials to put your mind at ease.
